Exporting Patent Family Data from your report
Cipher provides a powerful suite of visualisations providing insights into the world's patent and litigation data, but how can we access the underlying data in our report?
You can click through from various data points contained within the charts to review the selection or you can click the 'Data: Patent Families List' tile at the bottom of your report to access all report data (not just the metrics contained within the chart you're reviewing). Below you can see that the datapoint of the chart would take us to the active patent families for the organisations in the report for 2018, for example:
Once you click into the data, select the 'columns' drop down to add additional metrics such as 'cost' or 'PVIX score':
Once you're happy with your selection, select the 'options' drop down and export your selection to excel or csv file:
Cipher's 'List' view allows you to:
Review the details of your report at individual patent family level
Include and export additional information at family level including cost to date, projected future cost, pvix score, assignee, expiry date, cpc codes, and inventors to name a few.
Review the patent family technology groupings in your report and apply a key word search to search the title and the abstract of the results.
Apply a publication date range search to the results to filter patent families of a particular technology over a time range of your choice
