The filing trends analysis identifies the top technology areas where an organisation has increased or decreased their level of patent filing activity over a six year period (discounting the last 18 months).
The analysis will identify the Top 8 Most Growing and Top 8 Most Declining technologies, per portfolio, from the report you select to analyse i.e. the scope of the report is based on the organisations and technologies included in your Cipher report.
How to create the filing trends report:
Click 'Start' to create a new report
Using the organisation search functionality, add portfolios into the report
When you're happy with your selection, click 'done'. From here you can name your report and select clustering
After running the report, click the 'download' icon in the top left hand corner of your report (below). Then click the 'Filing Trends' option to begin your excel download.
